Installation Guide


  • Linux x86, x86_64 architectures supported - tested on Fedora 12/Ubuntu 10.04.
  • NVIDIA CUDA - Supported version is 3.2, but anything later than 2.1 should work.

Installing HMMingbird

No other installation should be required - simply unpack the tar.gz file to the desired directory. HMMingbird can be run by executing the hmmingbird executable with an appropriate .hmm file. See the readme bundled with the code for more informtion.

Windows Support

Windows support is possible, but limited and untested. Generate using the -k and -i options to produce a makefile project. Copy the .c/.cu/.cuh files to a new Visual Studio project with the appropriate links to the SDK.
